And I thought reformatting my computer would solve my problems :blah: Good grief… was I wrong. First of all, not only I lost many many files, and wasn’t able to work on the laptop for nearly a week, the reformatting didn’t work at all! Most of my programs won’t work anymore, and :blah: It’s done, and I can’t really do anything about it anymore. Sometimes, I just hate wordpress. My blog disappeared again, and I have no idea what’s causing it: whether it’s one of the plugin, or the wordpress itself. I’m pretty sure it’s not the server because other sites are fine except for mine :dead: Enough rants…

Well, I just had WWIII with mod_rewrite and my news script. Who ever knew htaccess and mod_rewrite are so hard to manage? I had nearly gone insane and ripped what’s left of my almost-bald-head from all those hair-ripping x________X It is evil… Then, I went on with working with my news management system (Not as complicated as blog nor as hard as Cutenews), but definitely very hard. It’s MySQL powered, and here’s a list of what’s left for me to do.

  • Proper admin system (Login cookie powered!!-kappoow-
  • A proper layout
  • Fix Headers already sent error
  • Comment function: Read comments
  • Comment function: Add comments
  • Decent look
  • Administration and user functions
  • Clickable smilies function

“Why did you decide on writing your own news management system?” I run a somewhat small graphic website, and I’ve seen quite a number of my friends’ sites who got their index pages defaced, and their content gone. To my knowledge, most of them got hacked because of their news management system Cutenews. I am hoping to get beta testers soon as I can get the things left on the list done. If you are interested please mention it on your comments; the more the better! This is my first script, so let me know of any suggestions you may have.

Sometimes, my sister amuse me more than anyone else. I received my orientation letter from my school regarding the date of registration. I was so amused when J ran into my room screaming that she got a postcard too. Since it’s her first year in junior high, she received a “personal postcard” from her future homeroom teacher and was given a list of things she might need for grade 6. I couldn’t resist laughing because I thought she looked cute with all that excitement =0
