The day of my move is also the last day of my summer school, and my sister’s birthday so that will be a hectic day. I recently bought a Belkin laptop sleeve. It’s a 15.4′ for my Toshiba laptop and it’s pink!!

I have this unhealthy obsession with cars… and so does my Dad. So as I was browsing through the net yesterday, I couldn’t help but post these pictures. One day… I hope I can own at least one of them XD

Included in the package were the receipt and skin kit. The addition of the receipt in the mail to me, is a proof of professionalism, and I commend that!

The skin, compared to the online version is slightly darker and I think the matte finish contribute to that. However, overall, I think the texture is quite nice, and hopefully it’ll last long!

Since my sister’s birthday is in a month, and I have yet to give it to her, I won’t post up a review… but you can still read my other post.

I bought a new pair of shoes over the weekend, and I couldn’t resist sharing two pictures because the shoes are so cute!

Moving in about a month… pressure is setting in: where are half of my stuff these days anyways? I know they’re in the boxes… but which one? 31 more days… and I’ll never see these ceiling walls, and rooms again. It’s depressing and exciting at the same time. Every weekend is spent packing… so many boxes =/

I’ve done four in-class exams: two in French, and two in Chemistry. French oral was awesome; we got so many days off, and I was just relaxing all of last week. We did our listening on Tuesday, and I hope I did well on it =/ On Tuesday also, we did a titration lab for chemistry. It was fun, except for the time I panicked because mine was still dark pink. After swirling it around a little, it got really light, and I was happy. Then, on Wednesday, I did solution preparation… unfortunately, I had a brain freeze =( I pulled through though

I’m planning a massive revamp for my portfolio site Reflection as soon as exams are over. But then, I still have summer school to do -yuck- Fast tracking isn’t as fun as you think =/

Stupidest Job Interviews

And some of the results are simply beyond belief.

In one case, a candidate came into the office with a cockatoo on his shoulder. The company decided he was for the birds.

Another person was a bit too busy to keep the appointment, so he sent his sister in instead to explain why he should be hired. Neither got the job.

Then there’s the applicant who made a point of calling the interviewer by his name, a technique some think personalizes the process and makes a better impression. There was just one thing wrong with that approach - the hapless would-be employee repeatedly got the name wrong.

One man started dancing during the questioning, which ended soon after.

A woman told her inquisitor that she left her other job because “everyone was out to get her.” Everyone, it seems, but her desired new firm, which quickly passed on hiring her.

A man applying for an opening felt it necessary to tell the person doing the cross examination that he didn’t much like his tie.

And another did everything right until his grand exit - right through a glass door, which promptly shattered behind him.

That was still better than the male who cut himself shaving and came in for a chat, despite bleeding profusely from the lip.

Makes me laugh, and feel sad at the same time since I don’t have a job yet DX

If anyone has tips on how to redecorate rooms, please post it here! I’d love to redecorate the rooms in my new house, so if you have tips, let me know.

I arrived pretty early, but there were lots of people who were early. And then Rachel came… with her flashy new car of course, and we were all like Anyways. She bought my ruffles chips. Go you! The bus arrived at approximately 8:50, and we were all very excited. My friend and I got the seats near the driver, and the teachers, but it was all cool. Stopped at Kingston for lunch again (The same place as last year!) We arrived in Ottawa at 3:15, exactly the time school would’ve ended. It took an entire school day just to get to Ottawa XD We got rooms on the 10th floor, and the rooms are fairly nice; by that I mean it includes a kitchen. Went down to eat at Hard Rock Cafe, yay for hamburger buffet: heart attack in a bun. Went back to the hotel, had about three hours to spare in the hotel room.

Day two was fairly boring. Walked to the Parliament building, and arrived 25 minutes earlier than expected. Took plenty of pictures: jumping pictures, stars, and shoe pictures Waited for about 2 hours before we could actually start the tour, that lasted only for five minutes Went to the NAC to watch the NAC Orchestra. Fell asleep because the music was boring. As in very boring. There were three pieces; the first was 18 minutes, second was 31 minutes, and last one was 29 minutes. Ate lunch; go Chinese food After that, we went to the Royal Canadian Mint to learn about how our coins are made Dinner at 4 is awesome. Had buffet… and more grade 10 immaturity. After that, we drove to Quebec to go on the cruise. For those who has a girl/boyfriend, this is the time for make-out sessions, but for those who don’t, it’s miserable time. The dance went from good to awful. The songs started out with “4 Minutes”, “Gimme More”, to the Chicken Dance, the Macarena, and the Hokey Pokey; watched a whole bunch of bandmates grind each other; it was yet another divine punishment for us. The cruise lasted for 2 hours; I spent the last hour playing tennis/hockey with coins with my friends That’s how bored we were. By the time we returned to the hotel, it was nearly 12AM, and we were supposed to wake up at 5AM tomorrow morning. Good thing for the senior band people, since we play later on the Friday, we get to sleep in.

Saturday was a museum day… ickyness to the max. We were so tired we fell asleep and barely made it to the bus to go for dinner. Yuck. So tired… Dinner was at a pizza place… more waiting. Sunday finally arrived, and the fun was over. It was sad… and the funny thing was that it was raining. Pathetic fallacy anybody?

I just finished watching My Girl, a Korean Drama. It is the best drama I’ve seen so far. Episode 14 was so sad, I cried with Lee Dong Wook He’s the ultimate hawtness

Here’s a summary:

Ju Yoo-rin (Lee Da Hae) is an impostor proficient in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Seol Gong Chan (Lee Dong Wook) is the second generation heir of a big corporation. Because of his grandfather’s illness, he’s forced to ask Yoo-rin to be his long-lost cousin so that his grandfather’s last wish can be fulfilled. So therefore, they both are bound in a lie that no-one in the family knows the truth. Kim Sae-hyun (Park Si Yeon) grew up in a rich family and dreams to become a tennis star with the nickname “Sharapova of Korea”. Her charm and intelligence attract many men. She and Yoo-rin have cutthroat competitions. Seo Jeong-woo (Lee Joon Ki) will fall also for Yoo-rin and finally learn to love that special someone.

Ahhhh! I love Lee Da Hae! Her acting is flawless; she can go some a happy-go-lucky girl, to a typical tearful Korean heroine And and… did I mention Lee Dong Wook is hot. Like, really hot? Lee Jun Ki is a little… feminine in the series, but I him anyways!

Okay, so then after that I started watching Goong (AKA The Palace, Princess Hours). Joo Ji Hoon is also the ultimate hawtness of the entire series. I am so hooked, but I can’t finish the series until I return from Ottawa

Yul was reading Harry Potter books!!! =0 That made me happy. And apparently there’s a scene with Le Petit Prince and the baobabs in it!

Anyways. I decided to blog because… I needed to complain. Tore down the kitchen on Saturday because the renovation people are coming on Wednesday, the day I leave. And I’ve pampered up WP a little; added a few plugins, updated the CSS on Saturday. Was studying for French all day today, and am panicking because I still haven’t packed. I need to get my thoughts organized. May be I should start with a list.

Oh where to start?

Okay. How about… shirts, and jeans. That sounds about okay… and food, and flute, and vest.

And… how about stop blogging and study for the French test tomorrow? It’s 8:34PM =/

I am so screwed over English. Bah… I was complaining to my friend, and I was like “Gatsby [the book/character] should die… oh wait, he is already dead”. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s the I/L book we’re doing for English called “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Anyways. We’re writing an essay for our ISU novel; I’m doing one called “The Things They Carried” by Tim O’Brien, and I want to kill it (again). Skipped the last two periods today; convinced my friend to skip with me in exchange of a chocolate chip muffin (Yummm). Have to start practicing my French narration which could be due either tomorrow, or Wednesday. I’m proud to say I got 97% on my last data management test! Personally, I think that’s quite since most of the class did poorly, and nearly 1/4 failed. Enough bragging though.

Two more weeks till Ottawa. Not much excitement happened while I was typing that. Anyways, I’d tag myself with this:

Anyways. Exactly two weeks today that we leave for Ottawa; not as remotely exciting as before, but according to a friend, we got suites, and each has a kitchen, sitting room, and well, loads of great stuff. I’ll be sure to write another… 10 page essays; two for each day XD

Homework is getting overwhelming. Have daily English homework, which includes at least two analysis due for the next day, and weekly vocab quiz that increase in amount. Our chem teacher has been away for a while, and most of us don’t understand the new stuff we’re learning since the only notes we have are the other teacher’s notes, which are… confusing T______T Arrgghhh. At least Data is getting better; we’ve switched our textbooks to a more math-looking textbook.

I’ve realized I haven’t changed the URL for Sandra nor Ayame yet. Sorry guys =/ I’ll try to update them as soon as possible.

I went to Downtown a couple weeks back with my youth group from church. It was so weird… We took the subway, and was out all day. From 10AM to about 10PM… that’s a whole 12 hours. Went to eat Pho during lunch, and took a lot of detours. Took the bus at around 9PM to arrive at home at around 10PM. Got an Aldo arm/leg warmer. They had a 50%-70% off of the entire store. My friend bough an Aldo purse; it was originally $30, there was a 30% discount, and an extra 60% discount, so her total for the purse was only $5.75. It was AMAZING. And the warmer that I bought was only $3.99 in total. It was great.

Yesterday I went job hunting because there was a job fair at the mall. It reminds me how hard it is to get a job. I went around the mall about three times with my sister, asking if each store is hiring. Amazingly enough, most of them were. Compare to the time I went with a friend to the same mall during March Break, this time I dropped in about 4 resumes, and filled in 3 applications. So yeah. Wish me luck. When I earn enough money, I plan to buy a newer laptop. but right now I’m just waiting.

We’re getting our report card on Thursday; I’m a little anxious. I have a pretty hard semester, but I need my marks up high. Thank goodness I’m getting a decent (to my standard) enough marks in Data Management. I’m passing chem and French with a 90%+ marks. I don’t know about English yet, but I’m hoping to achieve a high enough mark in that class to get a 90%+ average this semester. One French essay down one more to go. We’re doing a book called “Le Petit Prince”; It’s so cute.

The only sad thing is that I can’t update it until I get my laptop back (Repairs take such long time don’t you think?). It’s sad that I’ve been having to send it in twice for the past month… what’s even worse is that each time the problem isn’t entirely fixed.

Almost another long weekend! It’s so exciting; I love March =) Then comes April, a full month of education with no half-days or any days off =/ I’m enjoying as much as I can now. I’ve reconsidered my courses; I probably have to change it again. I’ve chosen only 7 courses for next year, and after reviewing it a little, I might have to add one more which is… icky. Well… c’est la vie. So many things due so soon… and too many tests cramped into a week. I’ve been numbed with pain that when my French teacher said we will write 2 essays this semester, the best I could do was stare. I don’t even know how much my eyes and hands, and brain will hurt after that intense writing of French.

Hmm… I think this is almost the shortest blog entry about my life that I’ve written so far Hey, at least it won’t hurt your eyes XD
