I’m Back ~~
You’re all probably wondering where my site went for the past couple of days. In truth, I don’t know why either; it just disappeared a couple of days ago, and surprisingly, I was able to access the site today. I was so frustrated that my blog was inaccessible that I went as far as recreating it on my server. Sadly enough, my server was extremely slow yesterday, and I gave up on it. I’ve managed to put the new fresh theme up. What do you think? Let me know! I have been creating simple brownish layouts and experimenting with different styles, you’ll get to see them when EDR is back (and re-Christened) which should be any day now.
I’ve been extremely sad that my blog disappeared because I couldn’t complain TT_______TT well, now I can, so cheers!
We’re having music test nearly every week. I’m so angry >______< We had our first playing test two weeks ago, and it was a hard piece. Most of us got somewhere between 70-80%, except the drummers who didn't need to learn notes, but have accurate beats. I was so angry that I only got 90%, and that's the second highest mark in class too :grr: I have a classmate who was actually my ex best friend. I won't mention her name here, but I'll call her Leila for the sake of complaning. She's always been my rival even though we were best friends, and we're always overshadowed by one another. When my music teacher was announcing our marks, she only got an 85% and since then, she just completely stopped talking to me. I decided to ignore it; I mean when I beat her, it's never announced to the world, so I guess she's taking it much harder than the usual.
We had a playing last Friday, that was when our first playing test mark was announced. I did mine so beautifully (At least that's what everyone in my class is saying), but then after the DC Al Fine, my high E flat (Three leger lines above) dropped an octave in my attempt to play piano. No one in class noticed, but my music teacher with musical ears obviously noticed. So then, she told me my mark; not the exact one because all she said was "Aww! Almost 100%", I was like TT_________TT why?!! Can't you round it up >( so angry >______> Leila on the other hand, played hers too fast, and no one applauded for her as loud as they did for me, and she’s taking it as an offense “because of me”.
Speaking of music, I have an awesome news! Being in my school’s concert band, I earned the privilage to go to the Canadian Atlantic Music Festival this year. We play, and if we play well, we’re invited again for the next year. I am so thrilled!! This year, we’re playing all the way in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Due to the low budget (Trust me, my school is extremely poor!), we have to take the bus. Not that I mind anyways, but it’s a complete 24 hours drive, with food and washroom breaks. It’s a five days trip, and we get to stay at a hotel. The down payment for interested applicants is CAD$100, and I was shocked that my parents didn’t complain or anything. The total cost for each student is actually CAD$599, but we’re going to be doing lots of fundraising this year, and hopefully that’ll reduce our travelling cost. My parents agreed almost right away, and I was thrilled. They don’t know this, but as a thank you from me, I will try harder to do more chores at home
