Somethings… never change

Listening to: Rie Tanaka - Shizukana Yoru NiMay be should stop posting with such weird and long titles eh?

Up until now, I still don’t believe that I don’t have a life. For real. For example, at the moment, I’m typing up my entry for my blog with two laptops on the desk. Yes. You heard me. Two. Laptops. Two working laptops that’s sucking the coolness out of my room >___< arrgh! Well, okay here's the story.

Millions of years ago, there lived a young girl with an ancient laptop that is older than all the eras in the history of the world, and her grandparents ages combined together. That laptop was so ancient (Note: Like seriously ancient), that it broke down after a year of working. Okay. Enough of the crappy introduction talk.

That laptop did broke down, after all it was purchased in 1998 ‘holly molly moo cow’! It worked when I started using it again as a family computer back in 2002-2003, and somehow it decided to break down just then. Being the eldest, I got all the blame. Then, the whole family being computer-deprived, Dad decided to purchase a new desktop. It was purdy with a flat screen :P of course… that didn’t last for too very long either. It lasted six months before getting attacked by all sorts of viruses and such.

Then, we got it to be cleaned up at Best Buy. Again, I got the blame. Then it happened again. All over. Seriously sometimes I think being the eldest meaning you get the blame no matter what. It was a family computer, obviously everyone in the family used it. Not just me; my sisters used it for far longer than I did being located in her room. Okay, then this time, we decided to use the recovery disk instead of spending $40 at Best Buy again. Third time was my sister’s fault for neglecting her responsibility of having to scan the computer weekly. I had my own computer at that time, just two months after I moved out from my sister’s computer life D= I got blamed again. My parents told me that I’m supposed to be making sure that my sister scans the computer weekly.

What the heck? I can’t even enter her room without getting thrown something by her. Pillows, erasers, tapes, plushies, books, hard cover books, and once a chair. Doesn’t this just show the love in our family? My sister told my Mom, she knew it was her fault because she was downloading stuff into the computer now knowing what they are. She said she was just trying to be cool like me. She said because I look cool downloading things, then installing them looks so hard to do, and that all the programs I installed are the amazing-est. Keyword here: she said. So everything she thinks I do is cool should be copied by her. I don’t mind; when you’re older you’re the role model right? I had to backup the files from that computer into my laptop and nearly got a virus myself.

Yesterday, I was searching for my health card in my parents’ drawers and it led me to the briefcase of the ancient laptop. My other younger sister has been begging my parents for her own laptop, and given the present situation, it just doesn’t seem possible. Three computers for a family of five? That’s just a waste of money, and besides do you know how much Best Buy and Future Shop charges tax? Fifteen friggin’ percent of the entire sales. After three years of working under a lot of pressure from my parents, and doing countless work on the computer, I had an idea. Why not try to fix it? Even though my sister tried that but failed three times over, what the heck? Why not? It took me a while to boot up the computer, and it stuck at the Windows 98 screen o____O Windows 98…

I’m sorry, everyone now probably have Windows XP or Millenium =0 It took twenty minutes just for the laptop to boot up. I just couldn’t resist to play an important role to show my parents that the laptop does work. I couldn’t pass the chance to throw it in their faces, and tell them over and over again, it’s fixed, and it wasn’t my fault. I fixed it =D Of course, I did exactly just that. Well, you might’ve guessed, they went whoopie; thought I was a genius, yada, yada, yada. When I did what they want, they become all happy. Otherwise, they do exactly the opposite.

I’ve been working on the machine for two days straight now, and putting it side by side with my current laptop, it looks like a grandpa, and his grandkid sitting side by side =DD Something’s wrong with the hard disk, and I’ve went on the original website to see if they still have that life time guarantee thingy. Tough luck… they don’t even produce anymore laptops that are the 1998-2002 releases. Screw that.

My cursor went boom again. It’s getting really frustrating; because I lack the finesse to use touch pads. I simply have issues with touchpads, and it gets extremely frustrating when you’re trying to make graphics with it. Blah. I’ve been trying to persuade my parents to get a new wireless cursor for me. It’s a one time pay, and beside, I won’t be having to slam it to the desk every time it doesn’t work.

My desk is too small to fit both my laptops and it’s even more annoying when both laptops use the fans to cool the machine, and I’m trying to listen to the music. Moreover, I have to have a fan behind both laptops to make it cool faster to prevent damage. I can’t listen to my fave music anymore… superb…

It’s getting to warm now, I think I’ll shower again… and considering it’s 12:00AM it’s not very healthy…
